The Institute is committed to provide quality
vocational and technical education to its students, so as to boost
their morale and instill new confidence to prepare them to accept
the challenges of life and put their best foot forward in the
march to success for betterment of their lot.
ACADEMIC YEAR
(a) Classes for regular courses commence in the month of July
(b) 1st semester examination in the month of December/January
(c) 2nd semester examination in the month of April and May.
ENROLMENT & ADMISSION
Candidates seeking admission in the Polytechnic are required to
fill in the prescribed application form appended to the prospectus
obtainable from the office of the polytechnic.
The last date for submission of forms is 30th June of each year,
which may be extended depending upon the announcement of results
by various Boards of Secondary Education and the Universities.
Each application should be accompanied
by:-

(a) Registration fee of
Rs. 250/-.
(b) Self Attested Photo-stat copies of certificates and mark
sheets of the final examination passed.
(c) Two latest passport size photographs.
(d) Self-addressed stamped envelope. |
Incomplete application forms or forms not accompanied by aforesaid
documents would not be entertained for admission. The President,
may however, provisionally admit an applicant without the requisite
certificates. Those who have appeared for the final examination
and are awaiting result can give an application and submit the
certificate soon after the publication of their examination result.
However, these candidates admission shall be provisional. The
Institute reserves the right to relax the qualification in case
of skilled women who would like to further develop their professional
skill for their socio-economic development.
CHANGE, ALTERATION & CLOSURE
OF COURSE
If any student wishes to change the course, she can do so within
one month of the commencement of the classes and with prior permission
of the President. Grant of permission would be subject to availability
of seats in the particular course.
The Management can use its discretion for discontinuing any course
if sufficient number of students are not enrolled. The students
affected will be given the option to change to another course
or to withdraw the admission.
WORK MATERIAL
Stationery and other material for the theory and practical work
has to be brought by the student. However, in order to help the
students, the Institute may provide the required material in the
Institute on payment basis. The Polytechnic reserves the right
to retain the students' work of Art or their thesis for exhibition
or for some such purpose.
FEES
Fees for the full year is charged in two/three installments. 1st
term fees shall be paid at the time of admission. 2nd term fees
shall be paid between 1st to 10th October and IIIrd installment
payable between Ist to 10th December.
Fee Concession

(a) 1 25% concession in
tuition fee is given to Scheduled Caste candidates depending
on their economic status.
(b) 25% concession in tuition fee to the wards of Defence
Forces Personnel is given subject to merit of each case.
(c) 50% concession in tution fee is given to the second sister
if two sisters attend the polytechnic in the same academic
session.
(d) Handicapped Students are also entitled to fee concession
as per merit of each case. |
DISCIPLINE
Polytechnic gives utmost importance to discipline. Students are
required to note the following in particular: -

a) Regular attendance
and punctuality shall be observed.
b) Misconduct in the shape of disobedience of the lawful orders
of the Lecturers, Principal and President etc shall be severely
dealt with.
c) Habitual absence or late coming, rude behavior with fellow
students etc, shall lead to expulsion or suspension.
d) Students will have to wear Aprons/Lab coats, as applicable,
while working in the Laboratory.
e) 75% attendance is compulsory for each student otherwise
student will not be allowed to appear in the exams. The percentage
of attendance of lectures and practical for every student
will be announced at the end of each term. It is the responsibility
of individual student to be aware of her attendance record.
Habitual latecomer student coming late by 10 minutes may be
marked absent.
f) If any student remains absent for more than 10 consecutive
working days without prior intimation in writing, her name
would be struck off the rolls of the polytechnic. However,
re-admission would be considered as per rules of the polytechnic.
g) It is compulsory to appear in 1st term exams.
h) Students are expected to take care of their belongings
and the Polytechnic will not be responsible for loss of any
personal property by a student during the course of her stay
in the Institute.
i) Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in campus. |
