The hand that rocks the cradle rules the nation. This humble saying highlights the crucial role that women play in society. The progress of a society can be gauged by the status accorded to its women.

Thus emancipation of women and the respect they enjoy in society is a measure of how progressive we are. Women play a very special role in society not only as homemakers but also in the socio economic growth of the country. Realizing the need for financial independence of women the Ahimsa Women's Polytechnic was set up with the aim of providing vocational and technical training to women so as to enable them to become self sufficient and be confident about the choices they make in life. The aim of the Institute is not merely to churn out job seekers but also job providers.

Our professionalism is manifest from the efforts being made to upgrade and computerize the Diploma courses so that our students are able to compete with the best in the market.

We do not want to rest on our achievements. The notion of evolution is critical to any institution. The key to extending the facilities in future is to recognize the importance of continuous evolution and need for continuous re-assessment and re-examination of all our activities and strategies.
